Istanbul is a photographer’s paradise. This city amazingly blends contrasting aspects of the world inside its geography, with its colours, nature, energy, heritage and, most importantly, people.

I can help you explore Istanbul and capture your favourite moments in your own way. Not only am I a professional, licensed tourist guide, but I am also a keen amateur photographer with over 15 years’ experience.

For a photographer, it is important to be in the right place at the right time. While good luck always helps, careful planning and local insight are also required. As every photographer has their own preferred subject, this private guiding service can be fully tailored to your preferences.

For example, if you would like to focus on Istanbul’s bazaars and their vibrant colours and characters, I can plan our route accordingly. The same goes for Byzantine or Ottoman heritage. Would you like to photograph the city’s lesser-known neighbourhood gems? Or maybe you want to visit Istanbul as part of a YouTube or Instagram project, in which case I can act as your guide and help you communicate with locals. Would you like to photograph Istanbul’s world-famous cats? I am ready to help.

Important Points Regarding This Route:

• This route requires a certain level of fitness. It is not suitable for visitors with heart problems or other serious medical conditions.
• This route is not wheelchair accessible.
• This route only includes the professional guidance service.
• While this route doesn’t include any ticketed entry to historical sites or museums, it can be added if requested.
• Any transportation (such as metro, city ferries, or taxis) is not included in the price.
• Modest clothing is required for religious sites (such as mosques, churches or tombs). Headscarves are available at the entrances of mosques, but not in tombs.
• A small bag (like a shopping bag) is recommended to keep your shoes with you while visiting the interior of mosques or tombs.

Meeting Point:

We can meet in your hotel’s lobby. If that is not convenient for any reason, we can discuss the most suitable alternative. During our meeting, you will see my official tourist guidance licence hanging around my neck. If you cannot find the meeting point, please don’t hesitate to call or WhatsApp me.

Duration:

This route will take 7-8 hours. However, as all routes can be customised, it is possible to shorten or lengthen this one.
