Turkish Music: Nida Tüfekçi

Nida Tüfekçi, who passed away in 1993, made significant contributions to Turkish music as a folk music artist and scholar, choir conductor, educator, and bağlama player.

After joining TRT Ankara Radio as a guest local artist in 1947, his fame quickly spread throughout the country. With both his talent on the saz and his impressive voice, he became one of the finest representatives of Turkish folk music in the 20th century.
