My new YouTube video introduces the town of Iznik, which is worth visiting and seeing due to its historical value, valuable artefacts, stunning natural beauty and hospitable people.

Known historically as Nicaea, it is a charming town with important Christian pilgrimage sites, impressive Roman-era theatres, city walls and ruins, and one of the most significant early Turkish settlements in Anatolia.

This week in November 2025, Pope Leo XIV will visit Iznik and participate in events commemorating the 1700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea.
